Quiet moments is a show based on images surrounding the lives of women - the peaceful moments that creep in amongst the chaos of our lives. Stopping to admire ones’ garden, holding her baby after she’s rocked him to sleep, reading a book in the evening: moments that lead the viewer away from their deadlines and into something softer, filled with hope. Each piece will be hand carved on wood panels and painted in acrylics - all because texture is such an utterly delightful thing to experience. As the light changes throughout the day and into the night the mood of the relief carvings shift, thus making each experience a new one.
The Edmonton Public library and I have decided that instead of having an opening reception it would be easier to have several dates in which I will be creating artwork live right in the gallery space. Saturday April 2, April 9, April 23 and April 30 from 10am-2pm please feel free to stop in and visit! The gallery is located at 7 Sir Winston Churchill Square right inside of the Stanley A. Milner Library.
On April 1st at 7pm MST the Original Art page on my website will go live and pieces will officially be for sale!
