Crystal spends the majority of her time maintaining the delicate balance between illustration work and taking care of an energetic and bright 2 year old and the lastest addition, a sweet newborn (born November 2011). Her passion continues to evolve and change as her family and friends inspire her. Motherhood and birth have transformed her world and starting in Spring of 2012, she is going to start accepting commisions for bellycasts. Crystal's illustration career took off after graduating from Grant MacEwan College in 2003 by working
for a local publishing company that created gift bags, wrapping paper & children’s books for Walmart, American Greetings, Costco, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, QVC home shopping network, Sally Foster
and many more. She left and opened her studio in 2007 and has since published works for greeting card companies, illustrated children’s books, created educational material, illustrated editorial spreads and more. She mainly works in acrylic paints but loves the occasional digital assignment. She teaches illustration part time at MacEwan College and spends the majority of her time now creating work for her licensing agent, Elaine, of Cypress Fine Art Licensing.
